Michael Jackson did not merit a thing, Rihanna didn’t give most of a comeback, Jennifer Lopez fell though she’s still a diva, Jay-Z forgot a appreciate you, Beyonce/Sasha Fierce was not a impulse for Shakira as well as Lady GaGa was ROBBED by Taylor Swift as well as whoever a ruin Gloriana is. Oh, as well as Perez Hilton? GTFO. COMMENT! RATE! SUBSCRIBE!
Even if what you say about his music being better is true (to which I say I prefer Lady GaGa, but can’t stand the other 2 you mentioned), he didn’t do anything in the past year so why should he be nominated for an award show based on everything this past year? How is that fair? It does not make any sense.

And Michael did a lot of good things, a long time ago. He hasn’t done a thing this year and died before he had the chance to. These awards are supposed to be based on the YEAR, not their lifetime of work. That’s what a lifetime achievement award is for.

I agree with you. Rihanna has no talent; she’s just pretty. The AMAs sucked. It was hard watching the whole thing, or any performance for that matter. =/

The fact that Michael is dead doesn´t mean he didn’t deserved to win H e was the best of the list and he deserved to be the artist of the year in my opinion no one of these artist can compare to him today and it is true and u can´t deny it.

Michael Jackson winning those awards should be a reminder of the poor quality of today’s popular music. It’s such a shame that only a handful of artists are making music that push the envelope and will be remembered.
