He opposes the idea but he respects it. You can be in opposition to gay marriage, and still think it shouldn’t be outlawed. Which it shouldn’t, if our government determines who people can marry based on sexual orientation, well than that’s the biggest expansion of government yet. And Republicans are hypocrites to support the ban, when they claim to be the party for freedom. That’s not freedom at all.
So gay marriage gets outlawed. Than a woman’s right to a abortion which isn’t up to the government to decide. If you think about it we’re no better than China when it comes to human and civil rights.

Obama has stated publically that he DOES support gay civil unions with FULL AND EQUAL FEDERAL RIGHTS. Ms. Prejean has stated that she DOESN’T support any gay civil unions nor gay marriage AT ALL. So you can clearly see that they DON’T share the same view.
So at least Obama supports gay civil unions with full and equal federal rights. While Obama is the president of the United States, Ms Prejean wins awards for prancing around in evening gowns and swimsuits. Which one is your voice?
