I kinda agree with you. I do agree that since Michael died Jermaine is trying to gain fame again, but I mean his brother did die and I’m sure he was called upon by the family to go to these events and speak for the family. And I think it was beautiful to see him standing up and smiling watching his sister perform. But I don’t think Janet is riding any waves since Michael died. She has sold Millions of albums on her own and she has really been the only working Jackson for years.

They are the Jacksons. The family has been in the spotlight for 40 years. Maybe you think they are “basking” because the media DOES, in fact, have a renewed interest in the family and their careers. Quit projecting what you think their feelings are onto them. You are not a mind or heartreader.
LOL. So now I’M somehow being accused of “basking?” Whatever! Jermaine’s actions since the death of MJ, have done nothing but show me that he’s hoping that there’s some newfound interest in him. Wow, that was sure anticlimactic. Boring songs, totally uninspired choreography, lackluster voice (that was probably lip synced anyway!) and as someone else said, boring clothes. Oh yeah, and boring hair. There is simply nothing memorable about this performance, and she’s basically rendered herself…..USELESS!

Please! Yeah Jermaine was there in place of his brother. But I hold no illusions that he doesn’t relish this opportunity to bask in a little glow. Even if that glow came at the expense and therefore, is only due to his bro’s death. I have respect when it’s necessary. You need to get some perspective and then pull it together.

Wow! So many to young commenting on this site to get it! Janet and Michael were the 1st great performers of the video era! The MTV generation started in the early 80′s! This was a time when videos were a new phenomenon! He was the 1st great male of video, and Janet was the 1st great female! As far as dancing, singing, the whole package, no one beat these 2! and from what I saw 2nite no is still! Don’t Hate….Depreciate!
