I’m sure that kid cannot relate to this, what is really a shame. Not just because of kinkade, but because I hope that such poeple find their on beauty to relate too in a way that suits them.
Let me put this plain and simple: I don’t know if they are good, the only thing I know is I like ‘em. I don’t get why everyone tries to make such a big deal out of it. Not my fault he is painting something that people, including me, like!
I’m not a snob just because I think that his art is trite. What exactly is the “universal meaning” behind formulaic paintings of country cottages? Not EVERYONE can relate to it, because I, and many others, don’t.
And what would you classify as “grotesque art”? I am not comparing you to the Nazis, but you should know that the Nazis denounced “degenerate art” and said paintings similar to Kinkade’s were far superior.
I ment the Movie. The painting is good too. I like alot of Thomas Kinkades Art. The movie is about is like when he was younger and who inspired him to paint the way he does now. It is a really good movie
I am in AP Art and I LOVE Thomas Kinkade. The only people who hate him are art snobs who like to pretend the understand the “deep” meaning behind a grotesque piece of art. Thomas Kinkade makes art that has a universal meaning that every one can relate to. I hate when kids in my art class draw a gross scene of a moon cracked open spewing guts and bloody bubbles. They think it is art but i would never hang that up in my house….<3 Thomas Kinkade Have you seen Thomas Kinkades a Christmas Cottage?
thx for your comment. I think people just like ‘em or they don’t. People who don’t like ‘em would be better of, if they’d put their energy into something they like instead of putting it on somethin’ they don’t give nothing about.
ppl lablel them as merely”pretty”. cos good art has to be fking depressing.
they have great mood and he uses color and light so exquisitely. but then again, i’m a sucker for idyllic scenes, even though i’m no la la land habitant.

Not everyone can identify with what Kinkade expresses. Try asking a kid who has lived in slums all his life to identify with a rustic cottage scene.
This is what Thomas Kinkade art says to the world: “You really don’t understand my pain, and you chose to be ignorant.”
Thomas Kinkade’s painting really really really deliver kinds of energy like love, peace, inner happiness to me. Feel so blessed……
I love his paintings. i always imagine i am actually in them XD
If you don’t like my comment you don’t have to reply I honestly don’t care what the Nazi’s thought about art…

How ironic.
Google it: Nazi degenerate art.
Oh yes, I’m just plum-tuckered-out after wasting ALL that energy typing the word HATE five times. Whew! That was exhausting.
Look, I’m sorry, but his paintings suck.
Kinkade says he would like every home in America to have one of his paintings on their wall. Does he really think every American has such bad taste?
Haven’t heard of it yet, so thx for the info, I’ll check it out some time!^^

amazing how people have still energy left for a comment, aber wasting so much of it on hating something they don’t like.
I HATE HIS PAINTINGS. Let me stress the word HATE. Hate hate HATE!!!!!!!!!!!
These are the kinds of images that would be found on a box of tissue in your grandmother’s bathroom.
Nothing but phony, kitschy Grandma art.
Kinkade is to art what McDonalds is to fine dining.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you for commenting!
thank you.
This blissful moment has essentially made my month. Simply glorious. Thomas, you’ve done it again!
thank you!
